SWEDISH MASSAGE: This is the perfect massage for the relief of muscular tension. Various techniques are used to relax and stimulate the nerves, muscles and tissues of the body, promoting well-being and eliminating stress. Pressure is applied to suit the client. This is a popular massage and highly recommended.
ORIENTAL MASSAGE: This revitalising massage uses acupressure techniques to promote self healing around the body as well as deep tissue massage for instant and lasting relief of muscle tension.
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE: This massage is excellent for anyone wanting extra pressure to relieve tension in muscles that may have hardened due to sport or physical work or simply for someone with increased muscle bulk or long term muscle tension.
Forearms and elbows are used in addition to hands for extra pressure and occasionally vibration techniques can be used to get to the deeper muscles.
LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE: Because the lymph vessels and nodes carrying waste and fluid from the tissues and blood supply lie just beneath the skin, between skin and muscle, only very light pressure is needed to drain this fluid and promote the elimination of toxins from the body. Stroking and stretching techniques are used during this massage, which can then be followed by a deeper massage.
Lymphatic drainage massage is beneficial for someone recovering from injury or illness but should only be performed after inflammation has gone down or you are in remission from illness.
Usually I use a combination of all or many of the massage techniques that I have learnt during a typical massage (with exception of the lymphatic drainage massage), however you are free to request a particular technique when making a booking.
Depending on weather your request for a massage is for relaxation or tension relief, I highly recommend 1 1/2 hours for a full body, to get the maximum benefit and longer lasting effect.
Full Body (1 hour)
Back, Neck and Shoulder (1 hour)
Extended Full Body (1 hour 30 mins)
